Delighted to be currently working with a well known food manufacturing business based in Fife who are looking to hire a Supply Chain Planner to join the team.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain spreadsheets.
They're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, analysing data and influencing production plans in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you're someone who loves Excel, enjoys improving processes and wants to make a genuine impact, this could be an excellent opportunity.
What you'll be doing:
- Producing and maintaining production plans to meet customer demand.
- Managing raw material requirements and production schedules.
- Working closely with Production, Procurement, Customer Account Managers and Distribution.
- Monitoring production performance and adjusting plans as priorities change.
- Analysing forecasts, identifying trends and ensuring stock is managed efficiently.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects within the planning function.
- Using ERP systems alongside advanced Excel planning tools.
The business is investing in its planning capability, with exciting projects underway to improve automation and reduce reliance on manual planning processes over time.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous planning experience within manufacturing or food production.
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups and data analysis).
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence communicating with stakeholders across multiple departments.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes.
Graduates with a relevant degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or another numerical discipline will also be considered if they have the right attitude and analytical ability.

The role does require some flexibility, including occasional early starts and approximately seven weekends per year to provide holiday cover within the planning team.
