An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised Supply Chain Planner to join a fast-growing FMCG manufacturer based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. This hands-on role is central to ensuring smooth end-to-end planning processes, balancing both demand forecasting and supply planning to maintain optimal stock levels and support continued business growth.
Working closely with production, fulfilment, finance, and wider operational teams, you will develop accurate forecasts, manage raw materials, and maintain robust inventory controls. Full on-site presence is essential to understand production flows, build strong working relationships, and support effective, real-time planning decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rolling production and demand forecasts
- Set daily and weekly production priorities based on demand and stock levels
- Manage raw materials and packaging requirements to avoid shortages or overstock
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support growth and operational stability
- Ensure structured, disciplined planning processes in a fast-paced environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in demand, supply, or production planning within FMCG or manufacturing
- Strong analytical skills with confidence in numbers, forecasting, and data accuracy
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
- Highly organised, calm under pressure, and able to implement structure and process
