We’re partnering exclusively with Invinity Energy Systems in West Lothian to appoint a Senior Production Planner who will play a pivotal role at the centre of their fast‑growing, technically driven manufacturing operation. This is a high‑profile position with exceptional progression potential for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a tangible impact from day one.
As Senior Production Planner, you’ll be the key link between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and the Executive Team—ensuring complete visibility of what’s happening across the operation. This isn’t a standard planning role. You’ll be deeply embedded in the technical manufacturing process, working closely with project management, logistics, and production leadership to ensure every moving part aligns with customer demand and operational capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory levels, operational capacity, and project timelines
- Provide high‑visibility planning updates to senior leadership and the executive team, ensuring clarity on risks, constraints, and delivery performance
- Analyse operational data using ERP systems and advanced Excel to track performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive data‑led decision making
- Collaborate across Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Project Management to influence outcomes and solve challenges proactively
- Maintain a constant understanding of project status—knowing what’s where, what’s needed next, and what could impact delivery
- Oversee logistics and inbound/outbound shipments, ensuring materials and components align with production requirements
- Monitor KPIs and ensure materials are in place to meet production needs, maintaining a “finger on the pulse” approach at all times
- Support inventory processes, including cycle counts, reporting, and stock accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and enhance operational efficiency
The Right Candidate:
- Previous experience in a production planning or operations analysis role within a technical manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Calm, organised, and influential—able to work across multiple teams and communicate effectively at all levels
- Comfortable with shifting priorities and able to maintain clarity and control in a dynamic environment
- Proactive, detail‑driven, and motivated by improving processes and operational performance
