Our manufacturing client in West Lothian is looking to appoint a Senior Production Planner to strengthen their Operations team and play a key role in improving production visibility, delivery performance and data-led decision making.
This role sits at the heart of the operation, bringing together production, purchasing, engineering and sales to ensure plans are accurate, materials are available and customer requirements are delivered on time.
You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory levels and operational capacity, while using ERP systems, PowerBI and advanced Excel to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Developing and managing accurate production schedules
- Analysing operational data to monitor progress and identify risks to delivery timelines
- Working cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Engineering and Sales
- Monitoring KPIs and ensuring material availability for production
- Supporting inventory processes including cycle counts and reporting
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and reduce lead times
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in a production planning or analytical operations role within manufacturing
- Strong data and systems capability, including ERP platforms, PowerBI and advanced Excel
- A collaborative approach with the ability to influence across multiple departments
- Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change
