We’re looking for a Reliability Engineer who can take ownership of asset performance, drive measurable improvements, and bring a systematic, analytical approach to maintenance optimisation. If you're someone who doesn’t just fix problems but eliminates their root causes, this role will suit you.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for improving equipment reliability, reducing unplanned downtime and supporting long-term asset health across a busy industrial environment. This role blends data analysis, hands-on technical insight and cross-functional collaboration to create sustainable improvements that stick.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse asset performance data to identify trends, failures and improvement opportunities
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventative actions
• Develop, optimise and maintain Preventive and Predictive Maintenance strategies
• Support the rollout and continuous improvement of the CMMS, ensuring accurate asset data and effective work management
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to lift equipment performance and reliability
• Use techniques such as FMEA, condition monitoring and reliability modelling to inform decisions
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR and overall equipment availability
• Support engineering projects, ensuring reliability considerations are built in from the start
• Provide technical guidance on equipment failures, maintenance strategies and asset care best practice
• Champion safe working practices and contribute to risk assessments and safety reviews
• Prepare clear, concise technical reports and present findings to stakeholders
About You
• Proven experience in a reliability, maintenance or asset management role within manufacturing, energy, heavy industry or similar
• Strong understanding of reliability tools, methodologies and predictive maintenance techniques
• Confident working with CMMS systems and asset data
• Skilled in failure investigation, RCA and developing long-term solutions
• Solid mechanical engineering knowledge
• Analytical, organised and comfortable working across multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across departments
