We’re working with a well-established precision engineering business in West Lothian that operates across a range of sectors.
This is a key role within the production team, offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of inspection, hands-on engineering, and quality responsibility.
The Role
You’ll play a vital part in ensuring quality standards are met across both incoming and in-house manufactured components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Using manual measuring equipment (micrometers, gauges) and CMM (training provided if needed)
- Managing calibration of inspection equipment
- Producing and maintaining FAIR documentation
- Reporting and managing non-conformances (NCRs)
- Supporting general workshop activities (finishing, assembly, helicoils, etc.)
- Occasional customer interaction and site visits
What They’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality
- Hands-on, practical mindset
- Experience within machining (milling/turning) environments
- Understanding of inspection processes and quality systems (ISO)
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility
Experience in welding/fabrication is a bonus, not essential.
This is more than just an inspection role—it’s an opportunity to be part of a growing, forward-thinking engineering business where you’ll have real involvement in quality, production, and continuous improvement.
