Are you a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives on keeping production running smoothly? Our established manufacturing client in Falkirk is looking for a Material Planner to join their Supply Chain team and ensure materials are always in the right place, at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Place and maintain purchase orders in line with demand and MRP suggestions.
- Take ownership of material availability across multiple locations.
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address discrepancies.
- Monitor and escalate any material issues that could impact production.
- Liaise with kitting, production, and all internal teams to meet production requirements.
- Track supplier performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Manage modifications, lost/damaged orders, cancellations, and ensure accurate reporting.
- Proactively reduce overstock, excess, and inactive stock.
- Undertake supply chain development projects as required.
You’ll excel in this role if you:
- Previous experience in a planning role with proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong understanding of MRP and inventory optimisation.
