Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) – Renewable Energy
If you’re the kind of engineer who takes pride in keeping complex plant running properly — not just ticking boxes — this one will land well.
Rising Talent Recruitment is working with a well-established name in the renewable energy space, and they’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to help keep a critical site running safely and efficiently.
You’ll report directly to the Maintenance Manager and be right at the heart of the operation. This isn’t a desk job and it’s not about passing problems on. You’ll be fault-finding, maintaining, improving, and taking real ownership of plant performance.
When something trips, stops, or doesn’t sound right — you’ll be the one getting stuck in and fixing it properly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to keep availability high
- Fault-finding on electrical and mechanical plant and seeing issues through to resolution
- Working safely, every time — SHE isn’t optional here
- Supporting out-of-hours cover when needed to keep the site online
- Monitoring equipment condition and catching problems before they escalate
- Producing clear, practical reports — not paperwork for paperwork’s sake
- Keeping CMMS records accurate and up to date
- Supporting planning and making sure the right resources are in place
- Supervising contractors and supporting colleagues where required
- Stepping in for the Maintenance Coordinator when needed
What You’ll Bring
You’re an electrically biased technician who understands how real plant behaves — not just how it looks on a drawing.
You’ll have:
- Strong electrical skills with solid mechanical awareness
- Experience working in a heavy industrial, power generation or similar environment
- Confidence using a CMMS and maintaining good engineering records
- A methodical, safety-first mindset
- The ability to think on your feet and solve problems under pressure
Time-served engineers will feel right at home here.
