We’re working with a well-established manufacturing operation in Inverness to appoint a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor—a key role focused on driving reliability, safety, and performance across site.
This is a hands-on leadership position, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the action while leading a team and improving how maintenance is delivered.
You’ll take ownership of maintenance activities within your area, ensuring work is planned, executed safely, and delivered to a high standard.
Working closely with planning and production, you’ll play a key role in:
- Improving asset reliability
- Driving proactive maintenance practices
- Developing your team
- Reducing downtime and improving performance
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across your team
- Ensure all maintenance is carried out using safe systems of work
- Plan and schedule maintenance effectively
- Drive preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance
- Carry out and support root cause analysis on failures
- Optimise equipment performance and lifecycle cost
- Manage contractors, spares, and maintenance budgets
- Develop and coach your team to improve capability and engagement
- Ensure accurate use of maintenance logs and KPIs
What We’re Looking For
- Strong mechanical maintenance background (time-served or equivalent)
- Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Background within a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
- Hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
- Experience with maintenance planning, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards
