Rising Talent is currently seeking to appoint an Electrical Supervisor to join the Maintenance & Reliability team at our client’s manufacturing site. Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, this is a leadership role for someone who understands heavy industry, values high standards, and can drive performance through people.
You’ll lead the electrical maintenance function across site — ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operation of all electrical, controls, and automation systems.
The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory position. You will coordinate PPM delivery, breakdown response, contractor management, and team development while continuously improving plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a visible safety leader across electrical activities
- Enforce LOTO, safe isolation, arc-flash controls, and site electrical standards
- Prepare and authorise RAMS for LV/MV work and specialist tasks
- Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations, PUWER, DSEAR, and ATEX requirements
- Contribute to investigations and near-miss reviews using structured RCA tools
- Own and deliver the Electrical PPM strategy across production areas including:
- LV/MV distribution, switchgear, MCCs, transformers
- Motors, VSDs, soft starters
- PLC & SCADA systems (Allen Bradley / Siemens / Rockwell)
- Instrumentation and safety circuits
- Lead safe and efficient breakdown response
- Maintain high-quality CMMS discipline
- Support condition monitoring initiatives (thermography, motor testing, insulation trending)
- Lead and develop a team of electricians and apprentices
- Oversee contractors from RAMS approval through to sign-off

What We’re Looking For
- Time-served Electrical Maintenance Technician/Engineer (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Controls/Instrumentation
- Strong background in heavy industry or continuous process environments
- Confident reading electrical schematics and automation documentation
- Experience supervising trades and managing contractors
- Competent CMMS user (SAP, Maximo or similar)
- Experience with Siemens or Allen Bradley systems
- 18th Edition / 2391 Inspection & Testing
What’s On Offer
- £50,000–£55,000 depending on experience
- Dayshift role, 40 hours per week
- 31 days holiday (including statutory days)
