Field Service Engineer
Our client, a leading healthcare organisation , is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer based in Birmingham. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, repair, and installation of patient handling equipment, such as hoists, baths, and beds, enabling care teams to provide exceptional support in healthcare settings. This full-time position requires UK-wide travel and participation in an on-call rota for emergency callouts, with generous compensation and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and LOLER testing.
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and perform fault diagnosis.
- Carry out repair, installation, and commissioning of fixed equipment.
- Perform site and pre-installation surveys.
- Utilise PDA-based reporting and maintain client liaison.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies (both company and client-side).
- Maintain high personal and professional standards.
- Participate in the on-call rota for emergency out-of-hours service.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical/electrical background with fault-finding experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good physical fitness with a capacity for manual handling.
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when required (expenses covered).
- Experience with installation and basic building/construction knowledge is a plus.
