Our client is strengthening its facilities team and is looking for a skilled Facilities Electrician who takes pride in their craft, works safely, and keeps operations running smoothly across a busy industrial environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, repairing and improving a wide range of electrical systems across the site. This is a hands-on role that demands strong technical ability, a proactive mindset, and the confidence to work independently while also supporting the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance across electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels and fire protection
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults safely and efficiently
• Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment and systems
• Work to all relevant electrical standards and regulations (BS 7671, HSE guidelines and company procedures)
• Participate in risk assessments and promote safe working practices
• Take part in the company on-call rota
• Train and mentor site apprentices to a high level of competency
• Support improvements in maintenance and operational efficiency through Preventative and Emerging Work Management within the CMMS
• Execute all work in a safe, controlled and compliant manner
• Follow planned maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and achieve PM compliance
Qualifications & Experience
• Industrial or commercial electrical experience preferred (domestic considered with strong fundamentals)
• Completed a recognised 4-year electrical apprenticeship (essential)
• SVQ Level 3 Electrician
• City & Guilds 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018)
