Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability Engineering Manager

We’re working with a leading manufacturing business based in Stirling that is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Maintenance and Reliability Engineering Manager. This is a key leadership role within the site, reporting directly to the General Manager and responsible for a team that includes Area Engineers, Project Engineers, Reliability Engineers, Maintenance Planners, and Mechanical Supervisors.
The focus of this position is to drive improvements in asset reliability and operational performance through structured maintenance strategies and the implementation of effective engineering systems. You’ll be leading a team through change and development while maintaining strong safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team across the site

Oversee the delivery and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies

Implement asset management frameworks, ideally aligned with ISO 55000

Drive operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align engineering with wider business goals

Support team development and foster a culture of accountability and performance
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in an Engineering Leadership role within a mechanical environment

Strong knowledge of asset management principles (ISO 55000 preferred)

A confident and supportive leader who develops and empowers teams

Solid understanding of health and safety legislation related to engineering operations

Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across departments

Experience in strategic planning, KPI development, and project delivery

Technical expertise in equipment maintenance and reliability best practices
