We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business in East Lothian who are looking to strengthen their engineering team with an experienced Electrician. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping plant running reliably, solving faults properly, and improving electrical performance — not just reacting to breakdowns.
You’ll be a key part of the maintenance function, working on a range of industrial electrical systems and machinery that support a busy production operation.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the site
- Fault-finding and repairing electrical systems to minimise downtime
- Supporting reliability improvements and preventative maintenance activities
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with electrical regulations and safety standards
- Working closely with production and engineering colleagues to keep operations running smoothly
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on fault-finding ability
- Confident working with industrial electrical systems and machinery
- Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
- A logical, problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach
